DESCRIPCIÓN
El manantial de la Fuente de La Mar era uno de los que se abasteció la ciudad de Segóbriga y en épocas más recientes también fue llevada su agua al pueblo de Saelices a través de este acueducto romano.
En la construcción de la actual fuente, la cual se acuerda en 1876, al abrir una zanja se descubre el Acueducto Romano, el cual se conserva hoy día sin uso.

Work or public building. Channel remains are preserved in various parts of the route running from the Source to the Sea in the field Saelices Segóbriga.
Segóbriga took on water through a small aqueduct, which from its original mine in the current Source la Mar, driving the water through a pipeline several kilometers and provided some points for a siphon, where water flowed through a lead pipe.
Currently thought to Segóbriga, it could have supplied in addition to other sources, which would mean the existence of other similar characteristics aqueducts this.

Obra o edificio Público. Se conservan restos del canal en varias zonas del trazado que iría desde la Fuente la Mar en Saelices hasta el yacimiento de Segóbriga.
Segóbriga se aprovisiono de agua a través de un pequeño acueducto, que desde su mina original, situada en la actual Fuente la Mar, conducía el agua por una canalización de varios kilómetros y dotada en algunos puntos por un sifón, en el que el agua discurría a través de una tubería de plomo.
Actualmente se piensa que Segóbriga, se podría haber abastecido además de otros manantiales, lo que supondría la existencia de otros acueductos de parecidas características a este. (Carta arqueológica)
