Puente vado de un solo ojo sobre el río Gritos. Fábrica de opus cuadrattum en el arco principal y sillarejo local bien escuadrado en el resto del puente. Constituye el punto de paso de la vía romana sobre el río gritos. (Carta Arqueológica)

Excepcional puente romano, tanto por sus dimensiones como por su fábrica. Puente de tres ojos sobre el río Júcar con tajamares de sección trapezoidal y perfil alomado. El arco central es de mayores dimensiones que los laterales. La superficie del camino sobre el puente se encuentra empedrada. Ha perdido parte de las piedras laterales que cerraban la parte superior. PUENTE ROMANO DE JABAGA
LOCALIZACIÓN: 0564657-4438183 Paraje denominado «Puente Canto».
DESCRIPCIÓN:
Reconstruido en 1999. Es un puente de un solo vano y con arco de medio punto. El arco está formado por dovelas y clave central, de dimensiones aproximadas 10,60 m de largo por unos 3,80 m de ancho y alcanzo una altura 3,10 m. La bóveda es de sillería, formado por dovela de piezas regulares. El tímpano es de sillarejo, encima se construye el petril que está formado por sillares de gran tamaño.
El puente romano en su conjunto es de pequeñas dimensiones y forma parte del legado de la cultura hispano-romana, que no hizo sino adoptar sus conocimientos a la geografía del terreno ya que la mayoría de los puentes existentes en la provincia, como es el caso, franquean cursos de agua menores. Esto ha traído como consecuencia, salvo excepciones, la construcción de puentes de un solo ojo. (JÁBAGA, Ana Guijarro Segarra, EPM-5/5).

DESCRIPTION:
